I am an ethicist and bioethicist. In 2023, I defended my doctoral dissertation entitled Tom Regan's ‘Subject of a life’ category. My main research interests include ethical aspects of the relationship between humans and non-human animals, research ethics, clinical ethics and experimental philosophy.
My path to the academy was winding - that's why I am also an experienced editor and a research manager. I have been a volunteer for animal rights and animal welfare organizations for several years, and for 10 years I have run a temporary home for given away and abandoned ferrets.
I devote my free time to music (actively and passively), drawing and reading post-apocalyptic novels.
